The latest episode of Gossip Girl seems to follow in the general footsteps of “Cruel Intentions”… rich Park Avenue glamour girl makes a deal with rich Park Avenue boy to take down a fellow student using seduction? Sound familiar?
The episode starts out with Lily and Bart giving Serena and Chuck new family rules - a 1am curfew on the weekends and a mandatory Friday night dinner, much to Serena’s disgust. Chuck informs Serena later on that it was all Bart’s idea - he is courting some new business prospects from the midwest who are strong on “family values”. Serena decides to rebel and dresses up in a daring red dress to go out and get photographed by the paparazzi.

Episode 82 first aired on Thursday, October 16th 2008. Meredith gets upset when she finds out that Derek found her mother’s journal, and things get uncomfortable in the house - especially after Izzy finds Derek naked in Meredith’s room, waiting for her to get home. Meanwhile at the hospital, the new stricter policies are still in place, and the residents aren’t too happy about it. Alex and Izzy are forced to work together and in the process, steal a patient back and forth from each other. Derek threatens to get them barred from the program if they ever do it again. Episode 45 originally aired on October 16, 2008. Daniel goes to visit Alexis and jail and she informs him that she is the father of Daniel Jr, and Daniel jumps over the table and attacks her. Meanwhile, Betty finds out that Gio is back from Italy, but he doesn’t want anything to do with her. Hilda wants to find out where things are going with Coach Diaz, so they have a clandestine tryst in Betty’s apartment and he tells her that he’s leaving his wife for her. Daniel Jr.’s grandparents want him back, and they show up at Meade looking for Daniel Jr.

Episode 67 first aired on October 13th, 2008. And it’s the same old thing… Audrina still can’t let Justin the jerk go, and Heidi is letting Spencer boss her around and give ultimatums. When will these gorgeous and intelligent ladies learn to stand up to the guys?
The episode begins with Audrina talking to Lauren about how she hung out with Cory the Australian all weekend (an old flame). She hasn’t yet told Justin about him and feels slightly guilty about it. Serena meanwhile plans to go to Brown for her interview although Yale had personally invited her.
